Clamp-On Meters

Clamp Meters are clothespin-shaped instruments that can be clamped around a live wire in order to measure the current it’s carrying. As a measurement principle, Digital Clamp Meter detect the magnetic field emitted by current flowing in a wire in order to measure the current value.

A clamp meter is a type of electrical test tool that combines a basic digital multimeter with a current sensor. Using a clamp meter is much easier and safer to use since it allows you to take measurements without opening the circuit. Digital clamp meters can be used to measure much higher currents than a multimeter.
